When famous architect Sven Markelius was asked by textile designer Astrid Sampe to contribute to the ”Signerad Textil” collection for NK Textilkammare in 1954, he came up with the pattern Prisma. It was a printed curtain fabric at the time. (Other contributors to the legendary collection included Alvar Aalto and Olle Baertling.)

Later, through company acquisitions, the Prisma pattern had fallen in the hands of ABBA manager Stikkan Anderson from whom it was bought by Kinnasand Väveriet in 1985 and developed into a jacquard woven wool furniture textile. After textile manufacturer AB Ludvig Svensson bought Väveriet in 2011 Prisma was manufactured under the Svensson brand, for a few more years until it was discontinued.

Smaller Objects has obtained the last production stock of Prisma and turned it into pillows in a classic modernist’s dress.

Made in Sweden.
